Summer of Empowerment at Teen Services
Teen Services is offering a multi-faceted summer program designed to provide expanded social-emotional and learning opportunities for Sonoma Valley teens. These programs aim to instill character and leadership skills, empower teens to be their true authentic selves, engage in civic education and leadership, build problem-solving and communication skills, prepare teens for the working world, and promote mental and emotional health. The programs will incentivize student participation with a small stipend and a completion bonus for those who participate in all offerings.
This program is in special partnership with the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Hanna institute, and On the Margins.
Who do we serve?
Teen Services programs are open to teens in Sonoma Valley grades 9th through 12th. During the summer, incoming 9th graders are welcome to participate in programs. Registration is FREE for all teens.
What are program hours?
Teen Services hours of operations change seasonally. During Summer Programs we will open to teens at 12pm, and close at 7pm. Program times may vary based on program location and start time. Teen Services staff will communicate any changes to teens as they arise. Teen Services is located at 17440 Sonoma Highway next to Flowery Elementary School’s parking lot.

Summer Programs
Ready to Work
Prepares teens for the working world and for life, covering topics ranging from how to find a job, interview techniques, appropriate job behavior. Includes highly interactive and engaging workshops that spark and motivate young people and one-on-one coaching for success.
Dates: June 26th through June 30th

Lovin’ Oven Culinary Academy
Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting registrations for the Lovin’ Oven Culinary Academy as it is at full capacity.
The Lovin’ Oven Culinary Academy is a unique program that promotes healthy habits through a 20-hour course for teens that includes ServeSafe food handler classes, knife skills, cooking techniques, and real-world experience.

Keystone: Leadership & Advocacy
Keystone is a dynamic teen leadership and advocacy group with a purpose of civic education, leadership, and self-identity. By teaching teens to play a larger part in their community, they will learn to use their voice and advocate for what they believe in.

Learn & Earn at Operation Bicycle
Dive into bike mechanics by building your own bike. Operation Bicycle’s Learn & Earn Program is designed to give teens the opportunity learn basic bike mechanic skills, bike maintenance, and teens leave the program with a bike of their own!

Boys II Men: A Passage to Adulthood
The Boys II Men program is a targeted effort to instill in teen members the understanding, skills and strategies they need to make a successful transition to adulthood. The goal of the program is for each teen to become aware of his unique gifts, seek ways to contribute to his family, school, and learn how to become a valuable member of the community.

Authentically Me!: Empower Today, Inspire Tomorrow!
Authentically Me is a program designed to help empower young women to become resilient within themselves by encouraging them to be unapologetically and authentically their true selves. Through workshops and field trips in our community. The goal is for each participant to be closer to being their authentic selves.

Post-Secondary Education & Career Tours
Tour 4-year universities, 2-year colleges, and potential career opportunities with Teen Services. What better way to learn about Post-Secondary Opportunities than to tour in person. Limit 14 students per tour, sign ups made available 1-week prior to the trip.

Drivers Ed at Teen Services
Teen Services staff facilitate an online Drivers Ed course which helps teens along their process of obtaining a learners permit. The course is supplemented with an outline of how to ultimately get their drivers license.
