Welcome to SUMMER 2025

Summer at Teen Services!

Through a special collaboration with Sonoma Valley Education Foundation & Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Teen Services is offering a dynamic summer program designed to provide expanded social-emotional learning opportunities for Sonoma Valley teens. These programs aim to instill character and leadership skills, empower teens to be their true authentic selves, engage in civic education and leadership, build problem-solving and communication skills, prepare teens for the working world, and promote mental and emotional health.

Students will receive a stipend upon completion of all available programs.

Our programs are open to teens in Sonoma Valley grades 9th through 12th. Students entering 9th grade are welcome to participate in all programs. Registration is free for all teens.

Teen Services will be open to teens Monday through Friday, June 9th to August 1st. Please click on the specific program to view program hours.

Teen Services Membership is free of charge for all teens. You can register in person or online by clicking the button below. To register for Teen Services Summer Programs, please click on the programs listed below.

Ready to Work Program prepares teens for the working world and life beyond. Through interactive workshops and one-on-one coaching, we empower young people with essential skills and knowledge. Topics covered include job search strategies, interview techniques, professional behavior, and personal finance management.

Session 1: June 23rd – June 27th; 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Session 2: July 21st – July 25th; 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

This hands-on, 20-hour course is designed for teens interested in exploring a future in the culinary world. Participants will gain essential kitchen skills, including knife techniques, food safety training through ServSafe certification, and experience working in a professional kitchen environment. Each week wraps up with a field trip to the Culinary Institute of America, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at one of the nation’s top culinary schools and a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in the industry.

Session 1: June 9th – June 13th; 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Session 2: July 21st – July 25th; 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

The Keystone: Leadership and Advocacy program empowers teens to become leaders and advocates for their own interests. Through volunteer opportunities and community engagement, teens gain a deeper understanding of various sectors within our community. They develop the skills and knowledge needed to make a positive impact in their own lives and the community as a whole. 

Dates: July 28th – 31st
Time: 10 am – 2:00 pm

This classroom-based course helps teens take the first step toward earning their driver’s license by providing the knowledge and certification needed to prepare for the DMV written permit test. Students will learn the rules of the road, safe driving practices, and basic vehicle responsibilities in an interactive and supportive environment. Upon completion, participants will receive a Driver’s Ed certificate required for their learner’s permit.

 Please note: This is not a behind-the-wheel or driving instruction program.

Date:  June 16th – June 20th
Time: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Teens explore a variety of educational and career opportunities beyond high school through guided visits to local colleges, vocational schools, and workplaces. These immersive tours provide firsthand experience and direct conversations with professionals and educators, helping participants understand different paths and what to expect. Alongside personalized support and reflection activities, these tours inspire teens to make confident, informed decisions about their future education and careers.

Date: Mondays in June & July.
Time: Time will vary based on the tour.

The Boys II Men program is a targeted effort to instill in teen members the understanding, skills and strategies they need to make a successful transition to adulthood: Each teen is on a journey to better himself and his purpose in life. The goal of the program is for each teen to become aware of his unique gifts, seek ways to contribute to his family and school, and learn how to become a valuable member of the community.

Date:  July 3rd – July 17th (Tuesdays & Thursdays only)
Time: 3pm – 4:30pm

This empowering program offers a safe, supportive space for teen girls to explore who they are, build confidence, and develop strong leadership and life skills. Through guided discussions, creative projects, and mentorship, participants learn to embrace their unique strengths, set personal goals, and support one another in their growth. Topics include self-expression, healthy relationships, body positivity, goal setting, and community involvement. Authentically Me! encourages girls to lead with purpose and make a positive impact in their lives and communities.

Date:  July 2nd – July 18th (Wednesdays & Fridays only)
